One of Bulgaria's most serious road construction companies - European Roads - becomes the general sponsor of the first edition of L'Etape Bulgaria by Tour de France. Our country will host a stage of the legendary cycling race, as part of the world circuit that takes place under the auspices of the Tour de France. The organizer from the Bulgarian side is Sport Club Sports for All - Sofia.
The circuit in Bulgaria will take place on July 30 on a route specially chosen by the organizer near Velingrad city and will include two distances - long (102 km) and short (57 km), with a maximum elevation gain of 1,700 meters. The route starts from the center of Velingrad city and passes through several picturesque Rhodope villages, including Ablanitsa, Tsvetino, Gorna Dubeva, and Vranentsi continues to the main road coming from Sarnitsa and finishes again in the center of Velingrad city.
It is an honor to have roads built by us selected as part of L'Etape Bulgaria by Tour de France! This is an excellent opportunity to support one of the most popular sporting events in the world, which shows in the best possible light how a given stretch of road can be used to provide not only mobility and transport connectivity but also many positive emotions for people and sports and cycling enthusiasts. We are happy that, through this competition, Bulgaria will have the opportunity to show the world the unique nature and local atmosphere of the Rhodopes!
