ROAD CLOSURES
L’Étape Bulgaria by Tour de France reproduces a Tour de France stage with all its trappings, including fully closed roads. Road closures offer participants a unique experience, ensure their safety and provide the local community with a unique opportunity to develop cycling-related roadside animations, activities, and art installations that can be captured by photographers and/or videographers and included in the promotional video of the event.
WHAT IS L'ÉTAPE BULGARIA BY TOUR DE FRANCE?
L’Étape Bulgaria is the only official Tour de France event in Bulgaria. L'Étape Bulgaria is part of the L'Étape series(30 events in 22 countries on 4 continents) which are events that are organized by the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO). The same organization organizes the Tour de France and the local organization team.
These events are designed to give amateur cyclists the opportunity to experience the thrill of riding on the same routes as the pros and challenge themselves on the same climbs and descents as the Tour de France riders.
The event will feature the same level of organization and attention to detail as the Tour de France and will be an excellent opportunity for cyclists in Bulgaria and around the world to test their abilities on some of the most beautiful and challenging roads in the country.

WILL THE EVENT IMPACT EMERGENCY SERVICES?
No, it will not influence. L'Étape Bulgaria works in cooperation with the Municipality of Velingrad, the local and regional Police Department, the Emergency Service in the municipality, and the road services in the region, to ensure that the emergency services can reach points along the route of all phone calls 112. The Event Command Center on the day of the event will liaise with 112 to ensure that all emergencies are dealt with. If an emergency vehicle is delayed due to the event, L'Étape Bulgaria will send its nearest paramedics to the scene until the emergency ambulance arrives and takes over the case.
HOW IMPORTANT IS LOCAL COMMUNITY FEEDBACK?
Processing local community feedback is an essential aspect of organizing events like L'Étape Bulgaria.
We will encourage local community members to provide feedback by setting up a dedicated feedback channel, such as an email address or a feedback form on a website, and making it easy for people to share their thoughts and opinions.
We will consider the feedback received from the local community when making decisions about the event. This will help us to ensure that the event is organized in a way that takes into account the needs and concerns of the local community.
We will communicate the outcomes of feedback received from the local community, including any changes made to the event resulting from that feedback. This will build transparency and accountability and shows that the feedback has been taken seriously.
By following these steps, the organizers of L'Étape Bulgaria will process local community feedback effectively and use it to help create a positive and inclusive event that benefits everyone involved.
Local residents and local business owners are invited to send us their questions and suggestions via email at letapebulgaria@gmail.com
